Why breakfast is so important?  You know a strong connection has recently been discovered between bad breakfast and many health-related problems and poor and imbalance nutrition begins at Breakfast.

  Our modern breakfast consist of

  •  Carb based breakfast
  •  So called “balanced” breakfast that still has excess carbs
  •  Or No breakfast

Carb based breakfast consists of rice items like Idli, Dosa, toast, bread, pav, lemon rice, upma, corn flakes, fruit juice or no breakfast at all.  Because of poor breakfast result will be eating lots of junk foods, lots of coffees and teas, sweet craving I’e carbohydrate craving, Pizza’s, burgers, paani puri, masala puri etc.

May be you are thinking how it is possible when we have carb based breakfast we eat soo many junk items and still feel tired. Let me explain to in the following paragraph…

Our body consists of 100 trillion cells which need 114 various nutrients during the day.

What we ate yesterday consists of two major groups of elements. The first group supplies energy (proteins, fats, carbohydrates). The second group supplies building materials (amino acids, vitamins, minerals, microelements, etc).

We utilized proteins, fats and carbohydrates for energy  and during the night body utilized micronutrients like amino acids, vitamins, minerals, micro nutrients etc to regenerate cells and tissue.  And also we lost 1 liters of water during the night through breathing, sweating and morning visit to the bathroom.

Our body wakes up empty which requires nutrient, energy sources and water which body speont in the last 24 hours. We might not feel hungry or thirsty  in the morning but it’s just a matter of time.

What  we give to our body as a breakfast we  are giving our  body in the morning: a  carb based breakfast I’e idli, dosa, toast with jam and coffee with sugar. These are simple carbohydrates which when digested immediately turn into sugar.

By raising the blood sugar level, you force your pancreas to overproduce insulin. Insulin removes extra sugar from the blood and turns it into fat. As a results, blood sugar level drops, often below the level you woke up with. Now you are feeling hungry and weak as your brain lacks sugar. It’s a reason behind cravings. To overcome hunger, you again need simple carbohydrates (chocolate, sweet coffee, sandwiches, sweets, cookies, doughnuts, soft drinks and juices, etc.) which again raise your blood sugar level and free you of hunger and weakness. Each sugar “injection” is followed by the insulin surge.

This cycle repeats itself several times a day and you develop dependence on carbs. The excess of carbs makes the pancreas work at constant overload. It’s one of the most frequent reasons for developing diabetes. Besides, excess blood sugar damages blood vessels. Excessive sugar will be again and again turned into extra fat.

If  you have habits of skipping breakfast I’e you are giving  nothing! As a result, the blood sugar level drops and you feel hungry, which makes you seek simple carbohydrates (chocolate, sweet coffee, sandwiches, sweets, cookies, doughnuts, soft drinks, juices, etc.) the cycle repeat same as above just the difference of couple of hours.

All the above is the most common cause of extra weight, high blood pressure and diabetes. And it all begins with a bad breakfast

Ideal breakfast should meet four major criteria:

  1. Restore the energy spent in the last 24 hours
  2. Restore the building materials spent during the night
  3. Replenish the water stock
  4. Maintain the blood sugar level within the normal range and prevent insulin surge

Herbalife International has developed ideal breakfast for everyone which has all the four category which is mentioned above, I’e Afresh Herbal tea and Formula 1 Nutrition Shake mix
